Tired today

Back hurting again, ugh. Not sure why, was real bad last nite, so I had to take some Darvocet, but it really knocked me on my butt, and I over slept this morning and didn’t get to do my workout So, I will go for a walk at lunch, and then some more when I get home The good news is I found this great instant oatmeal at the store last nite is only 120 calories, low sugar, and tastes great! I did do 100 crunches last nite, too, when I got home! So how is everyone today? Oh yeah, changed my profile pic, too, since I have dark hair, she is my motivation!!! You all have a great day!

Exercise, I thought this was good

I like this…

Motivation is actually an excuse NOT to do something.. Are you motivated to go to work? To go to class? Or are those two activities just part of your normal routine.. That is the key.. You have to MAKE exercise part of your normal routine. So don’t wait around for motivation, just do it when you have set aside the time to do so..

Motivation kicks in AFTER you have started a regular exercise program and you start to reap the benefits. That is what keeps you going.. You like the results and want more.. But in the beginning, you just have to do it.

Scheduling a time to do it each session is an excellent way to start. Make sure it is at a time where nothing else interferres with your execise. Personally for me, that is either at 4 AM or at 9 PM.. those are my two windows of opportunity to exercise uninterrupted or feeling like I am depriving my family.. So I make it a point to get my exercise in at those times..

You don’t have to start with anything formal.. You can start by doing basic stretches, crunches, etc.. then add on to that.. You can walk 15 minutes in one direction and then turn around and walk home.. You can use the treadmill or elliptical when you watch the news or get caught up with tv that you recorded.. You can do home workouts.. Lots to choose from..
