Yay!!! new bus route worked!!

I got there in plenty of time for class tonite! Was a good one! We did step, and lower body, and I was drenched by the time we were done! Then I stayed for core class!! I really, really, really love my gym!!

Eating was great today, and I had a much better day!

Well, Ted has to leave for the airport tomorrow nite, since the bus doesn’t come early enough Saturday morning. That sucks,  ’cause he will have to sit in the airport all nite. Well, we do what we have to.

If I don’t get to alot of blogs tonite, I promise to get seriously caught up this weekend!

Everyone ready for Thanksgiving? I am, kinda nice I am not cooking, going to my best friend’s house to spend it with her and her family, really looking for ward to it.

gotta run to the forums, love you all!

4th time is the charm?

Hope this posts. I had a kind of crappy day. Started last nite. First no reception of NBC, so no Biggest Loser! I look forward to it all week. tried to get it on my computer last nite, but since I am on dial up, loading was impossible.

Then I got to work, and just felt crabby and out of sorts. Think it is hormonal. So I had a cup of hot cocoa instead of the candy bar I wanted. The rest of my eating was good.

Well I was looking forward to my circuit class, and the stupid bus was late, so all I got to do was 30 minutes on the bike at 8 rpm. Still worked up a good sweat. Also set my 2nd appt with my trainer for saturday.

Planned out a different bus route for tomorrow too. Will NOT keep missing my classes.

Well sorry for being a downer, just a disappointing day. Love you guys!

No more snacking on cranberries, and I really cut a rug at the wedding!

Ok, first of all, I have gotten into the habit of snacking on craisins, not good. And that is what made me so sick! Hits my stomach like a ton of bricks! I was so sick again!

Did do a 4o minutes step class tonite(bus was late) and then 30 minutes on the bike.

So the wedding was awesome, was at the historical Sahauro Rose Garden, in front of the landmark houses that were built in 1897!! beautiful, the wedding was on the lawn surrounded by the rose garden. The bride arrived in a horse drawn carriage! I got weepy over that.

it was chilly though, but then they have the reception at the pavilions, and well, there was no healthy food in sight, so yeah I fell off the wagon. but I danced and danced, so that should help. Iremember why I don’t like high heels, ouch! I ended up dancing in my stocking feet! We danced all evening, all good old classic rock! The kids were so cute, dancing too.

They did the traditional bouquet and garter toss, but what I thought was cool is they did a teddy bear toss for the kids! Cute!

It was a great evening, but I am firmly back on plan. I totally enjoyed myself.

So how are you?

I am ok, stomach still a bit crampy, but lesson learned on the cranberries! love you all!

Mercy me!!! I am soooo sore!!!!! happy Sunday!

Wowza!! I don’t remember EVER being this sore!! It is a good sore, though. I know I really workd it yesterday. Makes me thankful for rest days!

How are you all? I need to make this short, as I have to be off here by noon, to get ready for a friend’s wedding!

Ok, so I was looking in my closet for something to wear and realized alot of my dresses are too big! I did find one skirt set to wear. I hardly ever wear dresses, lol. It was a struggle to find some panty hose! But I think I got it.

Wish me luck, I had a healthy breakfast, but I have no idea what they will be serving at the wedding, so I am just gonna do the best I can.

Hope you all have an awesome Sunday!

Oh and Jen, the beads I found were these cool heart shaped fiber optic beads in a peach color and another strand in a dark tan, going to mix them in a necklace and got a heart shaped silver toggle. Found alot of seeds beads too, he was having a 40% off sale! I will go back his prices are good!

Busy day for me!

Thanks for all the suggestions on the wedding gift! Going with the picture frames!

Well today, I did 30 minutes on the bike, and then a 30 minute core class, and then a killer step class for an hour! Whew! Then went and found some cool beads at this bead store I have been wanting to visit! I love it!

Then I went to the dentist, and then to Walmart to finish my grocery shopping. Wow, was I tired when I got home! Had to take anap!

Then Ted made this awesome beef stir fry with rice for dinner, was so good, and not fattening either!

Nancy, you will be proud, calories were 1900 for today, I figure with the workout and all the walking, that I needed it! All healthy stuff too.

That is about it for me today, just wanted to check in! love you guys!

Hi! Did my Sprouts shopping!! Woo hoo!

Well,my stomach is some better, had one bad spell right as I left work, but it calmed down by the time I got on the bus, thank God, is no fun being sick on the bus.

Went straight from work to Sprouts, got all kind of berries! They had a sale on blueberries, blackberries anr raspberries! Yummy! Got alot of good meat too, and my favorite Kashi. more Ezekiel bread and buns. Lots of veggies and salad. Will finish up at Walmart tomorrow.

I am looking forward to step class and core class tomorrow morning! I am sure getting addicted, lol.

Then to the dentist for a routine cleaning, then to Walmart, busy day!

We have a wedding of a good friend to go to Sunday afternoon, so busy weekend!

How are you all?

Can anyone give me an idea of a nice but inexpensive wedding gift? I need to get something for Sunday, will look at Walmart.

Anyways love you guys, have a good nite and weekend!

Wow! Step class and core class in one nite!!

I did it tonite!! Did a great step class and a core class right after! I am going to work on my core 3 times a week! Woohoo!!

how are you all? I had a sort of better day, our bosses have been talking to each of us trying to solve the problems in our dept, so we will see how that goes. I have to say the guy who goofs off has really had to work today! We are getting smart to him. Lol.

Well I will be on here as much as I can this weekend, got a busy one. I have to go to Sprouts after work tomorrow, then on Saturday will go to step and core class, and then the dentist and then to Walmart, Whew! Then Sunday afternoon going to a friend’s wedding.

Doing ok, but something wierd happened on the way to class, I must have eaten something that did not agree with me, I had to get off and find a bathroom, cause I was sick!! Not sure why, but my stomach still hurts, strange.

Well trying to catch up, tired tonite, so not sure how long I will be on. Love you all!

Circuit training tonite!!! And a frustrating day!!

First off I rushed out to the bus tonite, and it was 20 minutes late! I did make it to class, and only missed 10 minutes, but had to rush!

Well, can I vent? My coworker was at it again, made me so mad I was ready to go to our supervisor! She brought me an account basically saying (and she put a note in) that I had not followed up on it, but if she had read my notes, she would have seen I have been working on it every day! That upset me and we had to talk about it. I told her it really gets me when I go to the trouble to make notes, and they don’t get read.

Then we have this goof in our department, who gets away with murder! He is going around doing everyone’s easy work so he can beat our quotas, and leaving all the difficult accounts for us to do! He is supposed to work them in order and get his done first before he does someone else’s! The whole department is upset over it and have told the management about it over and over again. Oh well, life in the work world, I guess.

Enough of my ranting.

I was thinking of something last nite. We ALL need to love ourselves no matter our size! Being fat or thin does NOT define who we are!! We ALL deserve the best, and we do not have to hide! We have to accept ourselves as we are, and love ourselves enough to be healthy. This journey of weight loss is not about earning our worth, it is already there!

We just have to learn to accept ourselves  as people who are worthy of us being our best. So no more hiding and being down on ourselves, ok?

True change happens when we acknowledge who we are, and we rock!!

I love you guys, don’t forget it!

Whew! Another good step class and some holiday tips!

Whoa! Will I ever get used to it? Wow, we did step and intervals with wieghts! I love our instructor, Erin, she is even shorter than me and what a power house! I talked to her after class, and she said  I am doing good, to keep it up! I love it and I know I am working hard.

Looking forward to Biggest loser tomorrow nite! Should be able to see it fine with my new antenna!

Today was good and my best friend invited me to spend Thanksgiving with her and her family! I am gonna make some pumpkin bread to take. So there,  I won’t be alone after all! Her husband thought of it, what a sweetie! We will be with his family, I guess they are great people! So I will leave from work with her, and spend the nite, and then have dinner with them!

I plan to enjoy in moderation, and do some kick butt workouts the next 2 days. So NO CHEATS till then, that is my goal.

I got areal good article on how to handle it that I want to share:

Chew slowly and enjoy it ;-)

===== Are you Satisfied?

Eating until you are satisfied takes a bit of practice but can be
mastered over the holidays. I started once on Thanksgiving Day and it
was the turning point in my life for learning the non-dieting
approach. That day when the food was passed I took some of everything
but maybe half what I’d have normally taken. I figured, I can have
seconds, right?

I ate a bit more slowly, enjoyed the conversation a bit more, and
generally had a great time. By the time I finished my plate, I
realized I felt comfortably full — not stuffed. That was different!
Normally I’d just go ahead and have those seconds (this was
Thanksgiving after all), but this year was different. I was paying
attention. So I thought I felt good, and now I’d better enjoy dessert,
so I didn’t have the seconds.

I also realized I could have turkey and dressing and all the rest any
time I wanted, all year long. It wasn’t like these were seasonal foods
so much as they were traditional, and traditionally I overate on
Thanksgiving. I started a new tradition for myself that year, and
didn’t overeat. I did actually start to prepare a basic thanksgiving
dinner at least one other time during the year though! It’s darn good
too.

“The only way to get rid of a temptation is to yield to it. Resist it,
and your soul grows sick with longing for the things it has forbidden
to itself.” ~~Oscar Wilde, The Picture of Dorian Gray, 1891

When dessert came, I still took a bit of everything, but smaller bits
than I might have the year before, and again, it was perfect. I may
have left a bite or two for good measure, I don’t know, but what I
remember was having a smug smile thinking to myself how great I felt.
No one else noticed anything amiss — they were too focused on their
own groaning and hurting stomachs.

If you plan now to take a pass on the “ordinary” candy and treats
being passed around from now to New Years (I mean the stuff you can
get any day of the week at the grocery store — home made is special,
store bought is ordinary), and if it does qualify as “special” just
take a bit less than you might have before (not a huge amount less,
that’s no good because you want satisfaction not deprivation).

Make a Plan. Live your Plan

Plan now that you’ll decide if it’s worth it before you have any
“extras.” Worth it is whether it’s really special. If it’s good stuff
that you like, but not all that special, then you can sometimes say
no. You can have it later in the year. There will be so much offered
this time of year it pays to get picky.

Plan ahead for the big meals, parties, etc., that you’ll enjoy the
food and people more this year than ever before by paying attention.
When you start to feel satisfied or full, stop eating. You won’t miss
out on anything, I promise.

This way you’ll enjoy the holidays and still lose some weight during
the next six weeks. Obviously the more strict you are the more you’ll
likely lose, but in my mind it’s more about learning you can enjoy the
holidays and not be deprived by learning how to by picky about what’s
special and what’s ordinary.

So this is what I plan to do, be picky! enjoy what I want, and not feel guilty but not stuff myself to oblivion either!

I have to share some thing cool. So I was out with my skinny friend Lynne Saturday, we went shopping, and I realized we were shopping in the same sizes!! Woo hoo! Iused to feel like such an elephant next to her, but no more!

So I sa my first Christmas lights tonite, yes, it gave me a pang, right in my heart. I am going to have to get used to that.  I am going to be in touch with hospice and talk to them about it.

Other that that, doing ok, just very shaky from my workout, lol!Love you guys!
