Still sweating and the evils of trail mix

Hello, no the ac is not fixed yet, they are working on it. I was gonna squeeze in a workout tonite, but just too hot, will have to wait till morning, don’t want to be too hot to sleep.

Well, today, I was doing good although I overslept and didn’t get to workout, so decided to take my break today. I had had my god breakfast and was ok, then someone put this bag of trailmix( the kind with the m & ms) by the coffee pots. I swear that trailmix jumped out of the bag at least 3 times, wouldn’t leave me alone! I ate so much I kind felt gross. Not good. So my calories are def up today. Gonna have to work hard this week.

So how are you all? good I hope and cooler than me. Love you guys, thanks for the input on my last blog. Just hard to think of not getting back to 135, but my body seems to be happy here. I do plan on really throwing myself into my workouts, and keep up my healthy eating (no more trail mix), so I guess this will be ok. All in balance, right?

I do notice a good thing, my face does not look as drawn, so maybr this is the right place for me. Thanks, again!

104-106 degrees and our AC is not working again!!!!

Arrgghh!! So yesterday was a scorcher. Said 104 on my cell, and that was in the evening. I did a huge grocery trip at Walmart, Lots of fresh fruit and veggies, and some lean pork too.

I was so hot,  and one of the buses, their AC was out. Ugh!

I did do a good workout with Jillians troublezones, though. Doing Bootcamp later today and yoga back to back, then a cold shower lol. Hopefully the AC will be back by then, the repair guy is on his way.

So how are you all?

I am struggling abit. I had a binge last nite, banana bread and trail mix, not good.

My other thing is that I am up to 144.   But my face looks less drawn, I feel smaller, and I still fit my clothes. I am working out suprt hard. I posted a fat VS muscle blog as Wildcat just now. too. Still trying to redefine myself. I think muscle and good health is the most important, but am I at a healthy weight? Do I focus on building my body and stop trying to get back to 135? I am so confused. I do want to be back at 135, but what if that was too low for me? I can’t go back to severely cutting my calories as I was, I don’t think that is healthy. Nancy!! I need your imput!

Hot, hot, hot!!

Someone really turned the furnace on here in Phoenix! Yikes, may even hit 110 this week!

How are all of you? I am kinda tired, but I think it is the heat. Doing good though, and getting my workouts in.

Well, they changed my clinics around at work, so I am having to learn alot of new stuff, I need a vacay!!

Thanks for all the tips on cleaning, I will be sure to use them!

I am doing good, got thru Father’s Day, I stayed busy.

I want to give a big hug to our buddy Loni, she is going thru alot with her injury right now.

Not much to say at this point, but I love you all!

I have so much stuff in my house! Need to organize!

Today’s Small Change: Clear the clutter.

Dump the Junk

What is clutter? It’s anything you own but no longer use, need, or love. It’s everything from unread magazines to clothes that don’t fit anymore to gifts you received but feel guilty about throwing out. And most of our homes are filled with this stuff! One of the tenets of feng shui, an ancient Chinese philosophy of nature, is to eliminate unused possessions to create clear spaces in your environment. The idea is that these spaces not only create space in your mind and life for the things you want but help reduce stress as well.

Today’s small change is simple: Tackle one “clearing clutter” project. Choose an area of your home that needs it — the junk drawer in your kitchen, or your linen closet — and give yourself 30 minutes to do as much as you can. You’ll be amazed at how much progress you can make in a short time.

Here are some simple steps to help you banish the clutter in your life:

  • Ask yourself, “Do I really need this [fill in the blank]?” Do I use it, read it, wear it, or listen to it? Will I ever use it again? If the answers to these questions are no, it’s clutter.
  • Put it in a box. You can donate the items you dispose of to charity, give them away, recycle them, or sell them. Just as long as you get them out of your home as soon as possible — otherwise they’ll end up back where they were.
  • Go step-by-step. You can’t declutter your entire home in a weekend. Start off small — your desk or underwear drawer, for example — and go on from there. Build your momentum with smaller jobs before you tackle the garage, basement, or attic.
  • Cut yourself some slack. If your heart breaks at the thought of losing something, keep it. But if it’s a sweater that you detest, why not lighten your load and get rid of it?

Help!! Is Buddyslim slow??

I don’t think it is my computer, everything else works fine. I can’t read my mail or blogs!! Arrghh!! So if you don’t hear from me that is why sorry!

Slow computers suck!!

Lol, trying to read my mail and it slowed down, so I will go back to it. How are you all? Congrats to the weightloss teams!! We all did good this week!

Happy Fathers day to all the dads out there! I am doing ok, thought i would be more down than I am. but I spent the day with a good friend yesterday, and we talked and it really helped.

So I did my bootcamp dvd yesterday, and will do yoga today, I have been reading more that it is ok, to work out at home, so I don’t feel bad about not being able to get to a gym, which made me feel good.

So a new benefit to eating better! I am noticing my face does not look as drawn! Very cool.

Well I had a flub up last nite, I got shaky and I ate some peanut butter and honey on whole grain bread, it did push my calories up higher than I wanted, but I felt better. Hmm, not sure what was up with that.

Anyways, my friend and I went Good will hopping yesterday! Was so fun, and I got 2 really cute tops! I love shopping now that I lost weight! Anyways was a good day. Need to go back and try to read my mail. love you guys!

I love to eat!! What can I say?

Hi buddies!!! Well let me clarify the above statement. I am so in love with salad and fresh fruit, and I am loving doing the higher calorie thing! It is sometimes hard for me to get it all in, but I am loving it. And here’s the thing, I am keeping it all healthy!!

So, I worked out with Jillian again today, tomorrow is weight loss yoga, been doing real good this week, and sticking to my contract.

Plus, I feel am doing better internally, learning to take constructive criticism in the spirit it is intended. I have good friends who really love me and try to help. My old way was to get defensive, but I am finding that if I open my mind then I really learn! Like this calorie thing, I fought it for so long, then I realized that my body needs the nutrition, I love to work out ,and work out hard, so I HAVE to fuel it! Thanks, Nancy and Nicole for pounding it into my head!!

Happy Monday!!

Well how are you all? I am doing great, really been working it to make up for lost time! Today, I did Jillian’s troublezones, that is NOT for the faint hearted, let me tell you! Plus did, 50 pushups, 50 squats, 50 sec plank and will do 50 jj’s before bed. Plus got in my 100 oz water! This is our daily tema challenge.

I am sore, but forgot how good it feels to work out hard! Still trying to get used to eating more calories according to what SP says I should eat. We will see how this works!

But I feel so good, and had an awesome fruit salad with dinner.

Yestrday I did ok, but got waylaid by a pkg of trail mix, tropical, I had to have it and it was better for me than a candy bar, but pushed my calories higher than I wanted.

So, are we in this fight to be healthy full force? I sure am! Love you guys!

Reposting my contract since I was sick…

My workout contract

Starting June 13, 2009, I Kama Perry commit to working out 3 days a week with Jillian Michaels Troublezones Dvd. On Tuesdays, I take a rest day. On Thursdays and Sundays I do weight loss Yoga. On Saturdays will be a combo of either walking or running(as time and weather permit) and I will do one of my cardio dvds.

Plus, I commit to checking out the gym down the street, even if I have to go after work.

Also, I want to state, that the focus for this will not be so much for weight loss anymore. I am fairly happy with my body, but have some problem areas.

I want to focus on my health, and getting stronger and fitter in both mind and body. I want to continue to learn what works and what doesn’t, diet and exercise wise.

I will continue until July 1st, then evaluate and so a new contract.

Hi!! Hi!! Fiesty Kitty Is back!!!!

Ok, I had an awesome day yesterday!!! First, I did my 50 minutes with Jillian, doing her Troublezones dvd. Then I walked for an hour and had a shopping spree at Sprout’s Farmer’s Market! I bought Raspberries, Blue berries, strawberries, bananas, peaches, 2 kinds of apples, spinach, green peppers, celery, baby carrots, salad greens, whole grain bread, organic peanut butter, oatmeal, eggs, kashi, milk, wholegrainschips, avocodos. Not bad in price at all!

Then came home and had to do a huge laundry, catching up from being sick. So nice to be back to normal.

How ae you all?

I am sore today, but good.

Getting back to my contract too. Being sick put me all off schedule, but I am back now, full force.

Thanks for all the support on my last blog too. Guess, I worry about offending too much, but sometimes you just gotta be honest. Love you guys, and have a great Sunday!
