Sorry!!!

Work sucks today, had a long meeting this morning and another one right after lunch. So probably can’t read blogs today :(

But know I love you guys! I am doing ok, just sneezing and coughing from the smog here. I am highly allergic. No workout this morning, was feeling rough, but doing way better with my eating, and will do some exercises tonite.

Love you all gotta run, but you have a great day!

Hi!!

Happy Monday!

Ok Jillian level 3 kicks butt! I hadn’t done it in a while so I did it today! Wow!So how are you?

Real tired today and kinda have a sore throat, I have been kinda munchy too, healthy but munchy.

Supposed to be on 1200 cals today, but kinda blew that. Trying to behave now and drink my water.

Anyways, had a great relaxing weekend, and I love the competition the Wildcats are getting!

Well, sorry have to run, will be back at lunch!

1 hour of Cardio max and 1 hour of Tai Chi back to back!!!

Good morning, how are you all?

First of all, want to give an awesome congrats to the Heartbreakin’ Rockstars for their loss this week. What a way to make a comeback!!

Wildcats did awesome too. I love our team!!

Ok, back to my title. I quite literally kicked my own butt yesterday with exercise. First I did an hour of Biggest Loser Cardio Max, and I was so excited to get my new Tai Chi dvd, I had to try that too! Wow, I am sore, but in a good way. I am gonna do an hour of Biggest Loser power sculpt when I get done here.

Well the calorie thing I am doing is going good. I was only supposed to have 1400 yesterday, but after my workouts, I felt like I needed more last nite, so I had some yams, and some veggies. Did have some rolls, not so good, but better than binging on sweets like I would have before!

So I also got the book “Eat this and not That” Awesome! I was stunned to find out 813 calories in one Cinnabon!!! Yikes! No more of those! Lots of other things too. I was so tired after my workout, I didn’t feel like cooking, so I looked in the book and figured I could have 3 pieces of Domino’s thin crust Ham and Pineapple pizza ( one of my favs) so I ordered that!!!

Feel good today, supposed to have 1700 today. And a side benefit, I think the better nutrition is really helping my sore shoulder!

Anyways, have come to a decisoion thru all of this: Since I love to workout and am not likely to back it off, I am gonna concentrate on eating healthy and to fuel my body, not starve it. I am reading Jillian’s new Book on Metabolism and hormone, lot of info to digest, but I think she has got it right and look at her! So I feel really encouraged.

Anyhoo, that is where I am at. Hope you all have an awesome Sunday!!!

It worked!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks to all who told me to eat more!!!!!! lost 2 pounds and back in the 130’s!! Yeah, you can all say I told you so!!!

I am so excited I am giddy, lol!!

So how are you all?

Ok, wildcats, see Nancy’s blog, we need to hear from you all on the forum threads. Do we keep it united or back to Panthers and Cougars. We realize it is hard to keep up with the forums, we have a hard time too. We want to be here for you all as much as possible. And BIG, BIG kudos and hugs for Nancy for all she does!!!

I just feel like I cannot be there as much as I want, but I do try and I know all the wildcat leaders feel the same. So maybe we can all come together for a solution?

So that being said, I am doing good. But I will let you all know, the subject of Mothers Day is really bothering me. How did some of you deal with it? I am finding myself with alot of depression wanting to sink in,  and I don’t want it too. I just plain miss mom and dad, and I thought I would feel better by now, but now it is really sinking in I guess. Sorry I didn’t want to depress anyone, so I haven’t said much in awhile. But needed to let it out.

Ok, got that out, I know this rambled. Need to go, Love you guys!

Hi! Got this in my email and wanted to share it…

Overcoming Mental Blocks to Weight Loss

Your mind can play tricks on you, but it can also play a role in your ultimate diet success. Here’s how to beat the mental obstacles that can keep you from losing weight.

Sometimes being on a diet just seems overwhelming. You might feel as though you don’t have the heart to stay in the weight-loss fight. Well, it’s not always your heart that keeps you from diet success — sometimes it’s all in your head.

Weight Loss: Think Before You Eat

One of the main reasons that diets fail is because people approach weight loss the wrong way. “Targeting that diet mentality is really the key,” says Martin Binks, PhD, director of behavioral health research at the Duke Diet and Fitness Center and assistant professor at the Duke University Medical Center in Durham, N.C. “If I had to pick one thing I could fix to stop diets from failing, it would be all-or-nothing thinking and all-or-nothing acting,”

Binks works to get individuals to set small, realistic goals instead of big, sweeping ones. “If you went into every situation without thinking it’s all or nothing, you’re much more likely to moderate what you eat,” he explains. “Start thinking about the hundreds and hundreds of mini-decisions we make in a day.”

Small decisions and exchanges — like eating only half of a cookie instead of a whole one or adding a few short, quick walks to your overall exercise program — are what ultimate lead to weight loss. “If I could get people to think a little differently day to day, it would make a huge difference,” he says.

Weight Loss: Overcoming Mental Obstacles

Another mental obstacle dieters face is giving up on themselves, says Anne Wolf, RD, a registered dietitian and researcher at the University of Virginia School of Medicine. “They don’t believe they really can do it,” says Wolf. “But once they see that other people have lost weight, they realize, ‘I can do that, too.’”

She also sees individuals begin a weight-loss plan out of anger or take a “no pain, no gain” mentality when it comes to weight loss. “Anger is not [the same as] a commitment,” notes Wolf. “If you can stay on a program that causes no pain and you gradually lose weight over the year, that’s great.”

Weight Loss: Finding a Healthy Mindset

“I tried to lose weight twice before I made the permanent lifestyle changes necessary to accomplish my goals,” says John from Fairfax, Va. When he made the decision to get serious about weight loss, it was because he realized that not only was his weight unhealthy, but so was the way he thought about his weight and his health.

“I remember going shopping for bigger pants again, and sitting in the store and looking at the 44W rack, thinking I could probably save money if I just got the 46W and grew into them — talk about surreal,” says John.

That moment made him realize that his thought process had to change and led to a 70-pound weight loss. “Luckily, I had a moment of clarity and realized how self-destructive my logic was,” says John.

The trigger that makes you realize you don’t lose weight through a diet, but through a lifestyle change, is different for everyone. Drastic dieting can be a vicious cycle that leaves people angry, depressed, frustrated, and finally just giving up. But if you learn a healthy way to approach weight loss, both mentally and physically, you can ultimately find success.

Commitment and dedication…

Some thoughts. You know, when I first started this weight loss journey, I never thought it would be as all consuming as it is. Or that I would love it so much. But it has literally saved and changed my life. For the better. It does take time and commitment, but seriously, who doesn’t want to live longer and better?

I know I sure do. And who wants to not feel good enough to run and play with their loved ones. I mean how much it is worth to you?

People say “I just don’t have time to workout” Takes too much time to plan my meals, etc.  I am not here to judge anyone, but seriously, people, this is our LIVES we are talking about.

I am coleaders of our team the wildcats. We want to help as many people as we can. And we want you all to succeed and be serious. If don’t make time to put you and your life first, then who will?

Your job, your loved ones, etc. I know that is important, but they all deserve you to be the best you can be.

If you are on a team now, get fired up, get movitated. Do it for them and for you. If you are not, then know we support you. We do have a waiting list, and I am sorry we can’t get you all on at once. But there are other teams too. And we support them also.

Let’s all get fired up, this is our lives, and we only get one of them.

Love you guys!

Happy Easter!!

How is everyone? I hope you all have a wonderful Easter. The sun is shining here, looks gorgeous after all the rain we had.

Well, I had fun yesterday. Took my refund and had a shopping spree, got new workout shoes, and a yoga mat. A new outfit, and I splurged on healthy snacks and cereals and fruit.

Had to spend $100.00 just on computer ink, lol.

Did my yoga yesterday, and after my shopping, came home and cleaned, did laundry, colored eggs, and baked a cake. Whew! Am sore today! I may try to get in a workout after I get done, here, we are having Our buddy Nicole and her family for dinner! Ted is making a ham.

Oh, I got my new Jillian Michaels book, the one on metabolism. Also starting my new calorie thing tomorrow. So this will be my last official cheat day. Wish me luck!

Also, got the movie Twilight, and watched it last nite. LOVE it!!

Well time to go post more, love you all!

So I start this on Monday. M,W, F 1200 calories, 1500 on Tues, 1600 on Thurs, 1400 on Sat, and 1700 on Sunday and no more cheat days.
