I had to make a decision…

Not sure if this is admitting defeat or not, but I let my dr put me on a light antidepressant called Celexa. Only 10 mg, he says real light and minimum side effects. Not very happy about it, but I will do what is necessary, I have been coming abit unraveled.

Plus, he put me on antibiotics and said no cardio till my chest clears up, but I can do wieghts and yoga, yay!

Poor Ted, he kept up both up with his coughing last nite, so I slept in this morning.

But, I think I will still show a loss this week, yay!!

So this is to all of you having trouble drinking that water, chug a lug, it works!

Love you guys!

Oh and AJ, we do NOT like to take care of sick man babies, lol!

Sweetie I don’t think you are admitting defeat..you just need a little help for a while until things settle down. I know it’s not what you wanted, but even the strongest person can get overwhelmed and need help sometimes!! Hang in there!

You have had a rough year…and this low dose can help you. I don’t think it is defeat, it is help.

Hope you and Ted can both get some rest and get feeling better. :)

It is hard to admit when you need some help. We want to be strong and do it all. My husband took me to the doctor because I was too stubborn to take myself. I’m on the 10mg dosage and it’s been the best thing for me besides the weight loss. I don’t have any side effects and I feel like my old self and more. Hang in there. Hope you feel better soon. :)

You are not admitting defeat buddy! My sister takes a low dose of this med as well. Sometimes the chemicals in our brains are not correct and they need a little pick me up. I truly hope this helps to do that :) And YAY on your expected loss!

    Certainly not admitting defeat!
Remember, these medications are prescribed when there is an imbalance in your neuro-chemicals. There is no way you can smile and will these things to re-balance themselves out like in a balanced system. The meds will help you get right on track.
As for the sickies in the family, I hope you all get better!

It is most definitely not defeat, it is accepting a little help. Nothing wrong with that. Not at all. I am like you, I don’t want to have to take medication for anything. But, when it’s a temporary situation I could accept it. I too, am not good when it comes to asking for help. I want to be the strong one. But, you know what? it takes a great amount of strength and courage to accept help when it is truly needed. There is no shame in that. The shame lies in accepting these things as a cop out; which you of course are not doing! You are one of the strongest people I know girl. I am glad to hear that you’re courageous too! :) I hope everyone there is feeling better soon!

I don’t think that in any way you are admitting defeat. I have recently been through a similar situation and my doc put me on Lexapro. It has minimal side effects too, but I’ve had none. If it helps you temorarily then, great! And….sometimes people genuinely have a chemical imbalance where they truly need them forever. I think yours is temporary, though. Point is….if it helps you, then you need it, and that’s not defeat. That’s taking care of yourself! Keep up the great work and follow doc’s orders on the exercise!

Ah Girl, I was on Celexa before and I can tell you I had absolutely no problem with any side effects from it, its pretty mellow and safe.
Sending you my Best Wishes and Hugs!
    Peace,
    Leah?

I recommend eating plenty of plain yogurt or taking an acidophilous supplement with those antibiotics. This will help to build a healthy and strong immune system.

*hugs* Hope you can sleep extra long this weekend. Congrats on sticking to plan.

Have you found a sweat? I have not. Still looking though…. Have a good weekend Ms Fiesty.

DEFEAT??????? not even in your vocabulary Ms. Kama. You have overcome so much in just the time I’ve known you. You are going to better yourself….and you are taking care of yourself.

Sounds to me like you’ve been taking care of alot of people, and now its your turn. Personally I’m thrilled you are getting some help, god knows we all need some.
    Hugs
    Jane
