Hey buddies

I am here. Kinda stressed. But I am happy mom gets to come home Saturday. Just hoping we can make it all work.

Thanks so much for the prayers, and sorry I can’t be here like I want to be.

I did go to church last nite, and a friend prayed for me.

That helped.

Work has been too busy as usual, and it is hard to get it all done and make the necessary calls for mom. My team leader couldn’t understand why it took me so long this morning, and I didn’t want to tell her I had to be on the phone with the social worker!

Well I need to go post.  I will try and read as many blogs as I can, later. Love you all

And you will know the Truth, and the Truth will set you free.
John 8:32

If you lose your temper easily, you will never enjoy your day as God meant for it to be. Seek God with your whole heart and find out what is wrong. The way to get free from things that upset you is to find truth—the truth will always set you free.

We don’t always want to face truth because sometimes it is painful. Sometimes it shows us that we need to change. If we are behaving badly, we make excuses for our wrong behavior. But excuses will never make us free. Let God get involved with your day; when you feel your temper flare, ask Him to reveal the truth of that situation. The truth will always setyou free to enjoy the rest of your day.

Mom comes home, Saturday!

I am excited and anxious at the same time. Just pray that we will be able to handle everything. Thanks, Buddies!

Hi there!

Did you all see Biggest Loser last nite?

Wow!! How awesome! This is the first time I will have watched it from the beginning!

I am voting for Jerry and Coleen so far. How about you?

Doing good today and real motivated, let’s whip this into shape!!

Here is Joyce and you all have a great day!!!

Break Strongholds

September 17
For the weapons of our warfare are not physical [weapons of flesh and blood], but they are mighty before God for the overthrow and destruction of strongholds, . . . and we lead every thought and purpose away captive into the obedience of Christ (the Messiah, the Anointed One).
2 Corinthians 10:4-5

The Bible teaches that Satan tries to build strongholds in our lives. One way to identify the strongholds in your life is to watch for repetitive situations that pull you down in spirit.

We all know inside when something is not right in our life or is getting out of control. If that happens to you, seek God early to find out what is going on. If a negative behavior becomes repetitive, that is a signal that Satan is building himself a stronghold in your life. God will destroy the devil’s strongholds within you, if you draw near to Him

Side benefits of being healthy!!!!

Real quick one, but had to share!!

So I went to my eye appt yesterday, and the dr said my eyes are improved over last year, and she attributes it to my new, healthy lifestyle!!

I have to make this quick, but don’t forget Biggset Loser tonite!! I am so pumped! A coworker saw Ali recently (she lives nearby) and she said she looks so ripped! How cool is that?

Here is Joyce for today, I thought this was so good about not procrastinating.

Have a great day, you all, love you!

 September 16
But the fruit of the [Holy] Spirit [the work which His presence within accomplishes] is love, joy (gladness), peace, patience (an even temper, forbearance), kindness, goodness (benevolence), faithfulness, gentleness (meekness, humility), self-control (self-restraint, continence). Against such things there is no law [that can bring a charge].
Galatians 5:22-23

The Bible says that we are to “be doers of the Word [obey the message], and not merely listeners to it” (James 1:22). In other words, we are to apply its teaching to our everyday lives.

Procrastination is one of the greatest barriers to putting God’s word into action in our lives. It takes self-control to do something, and it also takes self-control not to do something. Self-control is a fruit of the Spirit that comes into our lives by spending time with God. Ask God to fill you with the power of self-control in order to overcome procrastination and be a doer of the Word.

Hi there!

How are you all today?

I am sooooo excited, BL starts again tomorrow! I can sure use t he extra motivation!

I am ok, better than yesterday. Tired, but I did work out this morning. Been busy at work.

Will see mom and dad tonite.

Thanks for all your support, Ted and I talked. I think he is depressed. He had to get glasses, and he hasn’t been working outside of the home for awhile, due to his health and his eyesight. I’m hoping these new glasses help. He says he can’t even see well enough to fill out job apps. Poor guy.

So I have to show him more TLC. I am trying.

Well, I hope you all have a good one, I need to go post, love you all!

Wildcats need more members!!!!

Hi! Come play with us!!! We have our weekly weighins on Friday mornings, and we challenge 3 other teams: The Heartbreakers, the Fitness Fanatics, and the Rockstars.

Check us out on the forums, and if you want to join, email me or Anj, or “Wildcat”

Hope to see you there!

Hellooooo Buddies!!!!

How is everyone?

Good luck to the weight loss teams!

Well, I’m sure you all have been following hurricane Ike on the news. I have sure been praying.

Doing ok today, kind of fell off the wagon last nite. Ted and I had a discussion that did not go well.

Seems he feels neglected with all that is going on with me and my family right now. He needed to get his eyes checked and went to the eye dr on Friday(I am very proud of him), but he accused me of not caring about his problem and “sweeping it under the rug” This was not my intention! I DO care, but I felt helpless to do anything about it! Here is a guy who is basically too sick to work, has no medical insurance, and I don;t have enough money to do it all. He tries and even brings in money from his computer work, and that is how he paid for his eye stuff.

But to accuse me of not caring? I was so hurt, I really think that is why I fell off, plus we were supposed to spend some quality time together( at his request) and he fell asleep, and when he woke up, he jumped online! Needless to say, I was upset, and still am.

Sorry for venting.

Well enough about that. Mom and dad are doing well. Mom should be able to come home this week. I also have a phone interview today, with a lady from a place called Eldercare. She is an advisor, I’m hoping she can help.

I was so frustrated by all this, I just bawled last nite, first mom and dad and now Ted.

I know there are alot worse off people then me right now, so I am sorry, for going on, but I needed to get this out.

I pray for all of you daily.

Well I need to go post, you all have a wonderful Sunday! Hugs!

Hello!!!

Took me forever to get here! Not sure why!

Anyways, still in a state of indecision of what to do with mom. She may need someone to stay with her, and we can’t do it. Hmmm

She comes home sometime next week, so we really need God’s direction.

Thanks so much for your support of yesterday’s blog. I was nervous writing it. But I had to.

I know this is a diet site, but like someone said this is our journal and our life, so if I writee about God, it is because He is a vital priority in my life, and He is part  of all I do.

Anyways, I love you all, each and everyone despite any differences, you are all my sisters and brothers. I wanted to say that..

Doing ok today, got up late, had to ride the bus as Ted is doing some stuff for mom with her car. I will work out tonite.

I did gain a pound, but not as bad as I thought it would be.

I also, cheated a little this morning after weigh in, I had 2 mini brownies and a small cupcake, yikes!

Well I need to go, have a great day, hugs!

I will try andread blogs thruout the day, as my system permits.

Here is Joyce!!

He who is slow to anger has great understanding.
Proverbs 14:29

It is uncomfortable for others to be around us if we are easily angered. We need to learn how to respond to life instead of react to it, so that we can enjoy God’s power in our lives. God says that a person who can control his or her anger is better and mightier than an individual who can take a whole city (See Proverbs 16:32).

God’s Word says, “Understand [this], my beloved brethren. Let every man be quick to hear [a ready listener], slow to speak, slow to take offense and to get angry. For man’s anger does not promote the righteousness God [wishes and requires]” (James 1:19–20). Be a ready listener, and enjoy the freedom from anger that God offers you.

This is on my heart….

I haven’t been able to read blogs as much lately, but what I have seen upsets me.

Ok, we all need to have more compassion for each other, we are all in this journey to be fit and healthy together. It doesn’t matter at all what size you are at, it is a goal to be healthy, not just skinny.

I don’t think a person should be put down for being very overweight, and also shouldn’t be putdown for having a little to lose. How do any of us know what they went thru to get that size?

I know, it was easier for me to lose when I was heavy, and now that I’m not, it is even harder to lose or just maintain.

I hope I didn’t make you all mad, but let’s get real and have some compassion and love for each other and not get all up in arms over differences of opinion. Let’s have some tolerance and see each other as God sees us. We are ALL beautiful in our own ways.

Love you all.

Here is Joyce’s devotion for the day, too:

September 11
I thank my God at all times for you because of the grace (the favor and spiritual blessing) of God which was bestowed on you in Christ Jesus, [so] that in Him in every respect you were enriched, in full power and readiness of speech [to speak of your faith] and complete knowledge and illumination [to give you full insight into its meaning].
I Corinthians 1:4-5

The Word of God says, “Depart from evil and do good; seek, inquire for, and crave peace and pursue (go after) it!” (Psalm 34:14). “Do all things without grumbling and faultfinding and complaining [against God] and questioning and doubting [among yourselves]” (Philippians 2:14).

Be positive. Get rid of gossiping and complaining. Start your day by reading the Bible so that you will know how to speak from the authority of God’s Word. Spend time listening to God, and then tell others what you hear Him say. Bring life to whatever situations you face.

The song that gets me thru

I wanted to share it, is by Casting Crowns.

Hope it helps you all as much as it does me.

Oh what I would do to have
The kind of faith it takes
To climb out of this boat I’m in
Onto the crashing waves

To step out of my comfort zone
Into the realm of the unknown where Jesus is
And He’s holding out His hand

But the waves are calling out my name
And they laugh at me
Reminding me of all the times
I’ve tried before and failed
The waves they keep on telling me
Time and time again. “Boy, you’ll never win!”
“You’ll never win!”

Chorus:
But the voice of truth tells me a different story
The voice of truth says, “Do not be afraid!”
The voice of truth says, “This is for My glory”
Out of all the voices calling out to me
I will choose to listen and believe the voice of truth

Oh what I would do to have
The kind of strength it takes to stand before a giant
With just a sling and a stone
Surrounded by the sound of a thousand warriors
Shaking in their armor
Wishing they’d have had the strength to stand

But the giant’s calling out my name
And he laughs at me
Reminding me of all the times
I’ve tried before and failed
The giant keeps on telling me
Time and time again. “Boy you’ll never win!”
“You’ll never win!”

But the stone was just the right size
To put the giant on the ground
And the waves they don’t seem so high
From on top of them lookin’ down
I will soar with the wings of eagles
When  I stop and listen to the sound of Jesus
Singing over me

I will choose to listen and believe the voice of truth

I am doing good, mom is better. She keeps trying to feed me, lol.

I need to get back on plan, strict.

How are you all today? Love you all very much and sure praying for you all affected by the hurricanes!

I will read blogs today if the computer lets me!
