Hey there, Buddies
Well, it has been quite the weekend. First, on Friday, I was real sick, so Ted may me rest all day. Poor guy, he is down with bronchitis, too.
But then I felt better on Saturday, so I went and took some clothes to mom and some fruit, and helped her pay some bills, then I picked up some stuff at the store, and then I did laundry and washed some things for her, too.
She is settling in better and is now glad she is there, they have been easing her into her physical therapy slowly, see she has diabetic neuropathy in her legs, so they have to get them moving. But she is better, dad is good, too and they are so happy to be able to see each other. Dad wheels into her room with this great big smile on his face, I love it. She has a real nice roomate, too.
Well I will be on all this week, due to my work schedule, since A week from Monday is a holiday, I won’t have the Friday off, so we can still get our hours. It is ok, Anj and I need the time to get our team reorganized, Wildcats are under construction! So please bear with us.
Well, as for me, I have decided to drop 5 more pounds, this theing with mom has really got me scared, and 135 is still considere borderline overweight, and I want to play it safe, so going to 130. I did lose 3 pouns this week in spite of not being able to workout!
I am currently reading “Winning By Losing” by Jillian Michaels, I think it will help and ready me for her 2nd book.
Well, that is about it for me, Love you all. Have a great Sunday!
So glad to hear things are going well with your mom and dad.
When I read what you typed in that 135 lbs is still considered borderline overweight…my first reaction was…shoot me now. Then I realized it depends on height too lol. whew!
I have that same book…read it long time ago. For inspiration might reread some of those books I have on weight loss and changing your life. I have been listening to billy blanks (tae bo)motivational cds. Anything that can help us get where we wanna go.
3 lb loss..awesome!!
Love Debbie
OMG! So glad to hear about Mom and Dad together and visitng - so cute! And you with the big 100 loss! WOOHOO!!!!
Did you say 100 lbs. lost? OMG! Kama what an accomplishment that is, CONGRATULATIONS!!! YAHOO!!! SISTA! Be sure to take some pics of mom and dad together again, plenty of them and write in dad’s journal when you get a chance okay? Glad to hear that you are feeling a little better also. Luv Ya! Linda
I’m so glad to hear that your parents are able to see each other. Keep on hanging in there! Love you Kama, you are a true inspiration to us all! I mean that from the bottom of my heart. :o)
PS. Let me know how you like that book, I’ve thought about getting a copy.
Is that the same Jilian from The Biggest Loser?
Kama, I have been away for so long and I had no idea your mom was also in a home, the good news is she and dad are in the same home…any chance they can both be in the same room?
Glad to hear that you’re feeling better and that Ted is taking good care of you even though he too is not doing so well healthwise. Hope you feel better soon and hang in there as you and Anj revamp the Wild Cats!
Go slow with the weight loss Kama. I am saying that because your body has been consistently dropping a lot of weight and needs some time to adjust and regroup, to become familiar with the new weight and metabolism.
So good to hear that your parents are well taken care off.
