Happy Friday!!!

Well this is my last Friday off. Oh well.

How are you all today? I weighed this morning, and am up 2. Wonder if it is stress?

Well, I’m not going to get down about it.

Today is the wildcat weigh in day, GO WILDCATS!!

Good luck to all the teams, too!

Wildcats, be sure and send your weigh in to the Wildcat page, ok?

Well, busy day, have to meet with the placement guy today to hopefully find a home where mom and dad can go. Poor mom is so confused right now, even more so than dad. That concerns me, the guy I’m supposed to meet today, mentioned that last nite.

So keep us in your prayers, ok?

Well, I need to go post, you all have a great day! Love ya, Kama

Give God Control!!

Another good one!! Fron Joyce!

August 28
And endurance (fortitude) develops maturity of character (approved faith and tried integrity). And character [of this sort] produces [the habit of] joyful and confident hope of eternal salvation.
Romans 5:4

You will not enjoy your day if anything is out of control. You can keep your temper, moods, emotions, appetite, mouth, and thoughts in line with God’s Word if you give Him control over the areas you want to subdue with faith. God created us with a free will, and we can choose the thing that is best for us.

Be free from old destructive habits by simply forming new ones. Don’t let your emotions get out of control today. If, for instance, you feel your temper begin to rise, pray quickly for God to fill you with the fruit of the Spirit. Use the self-control that He freely makes available to you.

Have to make this breif buddies!

Well, I had to go back to my old work schedule, NOT happy about it, but alot of the dept had to.

Other than that things are the same.

Hope you all are having a great day!

Lots of talk about balance…

So I thought today’s devotion was good.

“Self Control”

August 27
For this very reason, make every effort to add to your faith goodness; and to goodness, knowledge; and to knowledge, self-control; and to self-control, perseverance; and to perseverance, godliness; and to godliness, brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness, love. For if you possess these qualities in increasing measure, they will keep you from being ineffective and unproductive in your knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.
2 Peter 1:5-8 NIV

The Word says that a person will die for lack of discipline and instruction, and in his folly he will go astray and be lost (See Proverbs 5:23). You can’t buy discipline, but you have an inner ability to develop self-control.

By spending time with God, you can be filled with His Spirit and controlled by His power to live a calm life with a well-balanced mind of discipline and self-control (See 2 Timothy 1:7). Consciously add self-control to your behavior today.

I felt this applied.

Quick one this morning, on break. I have my 1 on 1 meeting today at work, and some training this afternoon, so not sure how much I can be on today.

Hope you all are having a great one!

Please remember our dear buddy Jane in your prayers, I heard she is not doing so well.

Well, I am doing ok, but have a new challenge with mom and dad. Need to separate their checking accounts, seems they may make too much(yeah right) if it is jointly, according to the lady from state aid. Not sure how to do this since mom is in the center, and I’m not on the accounts. So now we have to figure that out.

Well, I need to go, break is over, I will be back at lunch. Love you all!

I think we need this!

I popped on Joyce Meyers and this devotion seems so fitting:

You are Secure

August 26
Lean on, trust in, and be confident in the Lord with all your heart and mind and do not rely on your own insight or understanding. In all your ways know, recognize, and acknowledge Him, and He will direct and make straight and plain your paths.
Proverbs 3:5-6

Following God is not a part-time lifestyle. The Bible clearly teaches that we are to be cautious at all times because the devil looks for opportunities to devour us (See 1 Peter 5:8).

But God gives us grace to withstand the devil, and to be firm in faith against his onset. You can be rooted, established strong, immovable, and determined, knowing that whatever you face today is identical to what Christians throughout the world are facing. And God Himself will complete you and make you what you ought to be. He will establish you and ground you securely, strengthen and settle you today (See vv. 9–10).

I don’t know about all of you, but I need to know God is in control.

Well, a good thing happened last nite, my 2 cousins called (they are sisters) and they want to be of some help to me with mom. They will be here the end of October, and they just went thru this with their mom, my mom’s sister. Will be so good to have some family around!

I know I have Ted, but this will be a big help to me.

Mom is doing ok, they are easing her into her therapy slowly. Dad is doing good.

I’m ok, nice to be back to my workouts.

So how are all of you?

Time for me to post, love you all!

Wildcats have been busy!!

Feel free  to stop by our new threads! Thanks to Anj, who has been a busy kitty this morning!!

I am so excited about the new changes for our team! We have needed this!

I find my commitment to this and my new way of life stronger than ever. It is like thru being sick and seeing what mom is going thru, just really kindled something in me!

I know now I can never go back to where I was before, nor do I want to.

Well, I feel good today, did my workout, too. How are you all?

Called mom and she sounded good too.

Well, You all have a wonderful day, I am hurrying to try and read some blogs, Love you all!

Hey there, Buddies

Well, it has been quite the weekend. First, on Friday, I was real sick, so Ted may me rest all day. Poor guy, he is down with bronchitis, too.

But then I felt better on Saturday, so I went and took some clothes to mom and some fruit, and helped her pay some bills, then I picked up some stuff at the store, and then I did laundry and washed some things for her, too.

She is settling in better and is now glad she is there, they have been easing her into her physical therapy slowly, see she has diabetic neuropathy in her legs, so they have to get them moving. But she is better, dad is good, too and they are so happy to be able to see each other. Dad wheels into her room with this great big smile on his face, I love it. She has a real nice roomate, too.

Well I will be on all this week, due to my work schedule, since A week from Monday is a holiday, I won’t have the Friday off, so we can still get our hours. It is ok, Anj and I need the time to get our team reorganized, Wildcats are under construction! So please bear with us.

Well, as for me, I have decided to drop 5 more pounds, this theing with mom has really got me scared, and 135 is still considere borderline overweight, and I want to play it safe, so going to 130. I did lose 3 pouns this week in spite of not being able to workout!

I am currently reading “Winning By Losing” by Jillian Michaels, I think it will help and ready me for her 2nd book.

Well, that is about it for me, Love you all. Have a great Sunday!

Hello!

Well here is the latest! (I appreciate you all listening!)

I went to the dr, and he popped me on antibiotics and an inhaler, seems my asthma acted up! So, I’m trying to feel better, and he said no workouts till I am! So I am planning to start them again on Monday.

Well, mom got moved, but she wasn’t real happy about being there, called me last nite and demanded I bring her home! I was too sick to go up there, so I had to be firm with her, I feel she is in the best place for her right now. And I reminded her of why she is there, to get her legs better so she CAN come home and get dad and her moved! Well, I got her calmed down, and she was much better this morning.

Not sure what my weight will be this weekend, haven’t had much of an appetite. Had to struggle to get at least 1200.

How are you all? Well, I have to go post, have a great day!

I have to share…

angelswings.jpg angel image by BikerBabe_013Ok, I think my mom is a true angel. She was telling me last nite, of how she was witnessing to her roomate in the hospital, and she was crying because of how God’s love has really touched her heart and she is so concerned for others. I was thinking “Wow, this lady is so sick and here she is still trying to help others”. typical of my mom, all her life. She loves people so much, and she has told me to tell you all that she loves you even though she doesn’t know you. And to ask you all to keep her roomate, Jill in your prayers.

I just had to share that.

My mom is real special and I feel God has a real plan for her yet. She is being moved today to the same care center as dad. She will be there while she get physical therapy.

We are gonna tie up loose ends in the meantime. We have some good people helping us now. Thanks for all the prayers, they ARE working! Love you all! Kama

Have to tell you!!

I may not be on at lunch. Trying to get in the dr today, had to take a breathing treatment last nite, and my chest still hurts.

But I wanted to share the good news!!! Mom is being discharged today to hopefully the same care center dad is in!!!!! They are trying, anyways. She needs some Physical therapy for her legs before she goes home. And now we have this very nice Social worker helping us get things done, too. I have felt very lost, but it looks like things are moving ahead.

Well I need to get back to work, have had to be on the phone alot for mom and my self today. Love you all and I will keep you posted!

Hi you all

How is everyone today?

I’m still here. I think this cold is turning into a sinus infection. If I’m not better by Friday, will go to the dr.

Well, I have been busy, had to hopfully straighten out a billing issue for mom and dad. I think it is ok, now.

Well mom is still in the hospital, her blood sugar is very high again. Was 590 last nite, so they are really working on her. I’m glad she is where she is. I have been trying to keep things running at her house. If she is still there when her bills need to be paid, I will have to take them to her.

Arrgh, so much to think about, and I’m not at my best right now.

I haven’t worked out since Saturday, been to sick. Hopefully will tomorrow, been going to bed early and taking my vitamins and lots of fluids.

I want to know one thing, lol. If I have no sense of smell, and very little appetite, why do I want to munch? Nerves maybe? I dunno.

Well hope you all have a great day, hugs, Kama
