Spoke to mom…and if there was any doubt, I will keep my bf!

I am impressed. Just got off the phone with mom. Her blood sugar was 538, they got it down to 130 something. They are checking her heart, too. Not sure when she will be able to come home.

What I am impressed about is that Ted has taken over taking care of the pets and all, really taking matters in hand, what a guy!!! Don’t know what I would do with out him!

Mom sounds real weak and tired, but ok.

I am simply in awe on how Ted has stepped up to the plate. I think he is enjoying being needed like this. Showing me a lesson in trust, also. That I don’t have to “fix” everything and the he can do things too. It is hard, but already seeing some lessons in all of this.

1. the preciousness of my time with mom and dad(already felt that, but more now)

2. Help mom with her eating habits more.

3. trust God and Ted to help me handle my responsibilities, and not think “I can do it all by myself”

4. stress less, pray more.

Some good ones, and I’m still working on it.

Thanks again for all the prayers and well wishes. You all touched my heart so much I was in tears this morning. Love you all.

I think about you and your Mom every day Kama. So happy they got her numbers under some control. And again, Ted is like my BF… and I’m so much like you as well! I find it hard to trust my BF and to let him do stuff like what Ted’s doing. It’s like I’m not ready yet to put too much faith in him that he’ll stick around. But your Ted definately sounds like a keeper…. just like I’m starting to believe my guy is too.

So glad to see you so happy!

I’m the same way too! i always assume my man is a total moron, then when I really need him and I actually let him help me out, turns out he is more than capable and i feel quite stupid for not trusting him with the task in the first place! It is really nice to know Ted is helping out, gives the rest of us hope!

Thank God you have Ted in your life and your relationship with him seems to grow and move forward to very intimate and trusting stage.

Another thing to start believing in: people do love you Kama and they want to help, and yes, you are worthy of love, respect, and friendship.

thank God, kama. i’m so glad she’s getting the help she needs. my dad’s blood work was also off the charts. they even had to cancel his surgery because his blood sugar was so high. it’s taken about a month to get it under control and today he goes in for his hernia surgery. we can pray for each other’s parents =) he’s all i have left, parent wise. next month will be 16 years that i lost my mom to a plane crash. it doesn’t matter how it happens, it’s devastating. it is a part of life, however. we just need to cling to God and know He’s in control, no matter what. there are reasons for everything, although we may never know what they are while we are here. keep the faith and treasure every minute. i love you my friend.
