Need all your advice!!!

Well, it is weigh in. and I’m up a pound. I’m not even sure why. I have been staying op, and drinking all my water, doing killer workouts(I’m even sore today), and the weight is just not coming off. As much as I try to not focus on the scale, let me be honest, it DOES matter to me.

A good buddy told me that maybe I’m at the weight I should be at. My BMI says different, but I wonder, I know it is different for each person. But, I set my goal for 135, and I soooo want to get there! If I get there and find it is too low for me then I can go back up, but I want to at least get there!

What do you all think? I do know I have lots of flabby areas to tighten up, and I’m working hard on that. Even Ted thinks maybe I shouldn’t focus on the weight loss, but it is hard, I have done it for so long. And I don’t want to get complacent and slide back. I do believe you have to always keep going forward, that you can never stand still. That if you try to stand sitll, you start going backwards. I never want to do that.

Anyhow, I’m looking for some input. I know I’m healthier and fitter than I have been in years, and I feel great. I love my new found muscles and what I can do. So, I’m happy there. Thanks, buddies.

Well, I am proud of myself for what I did last nite! I got the bead books out that I had borrowed from the library, and went thru them all and got some great ideas for some new color combinations, and even got the beads out to do 2 new projects! I had bead boxes all over my kitchen table, lol. I worked on one necklace until about midnite, not done yet.

At least the ferret stayed out of it, lol. I had it up high where he couldn’t get it, and he was asleep, and I watched for him to come out, and when he did, I put him to bed for the nite.

So, enough about me, how are all my buddies? Good luck to all the weight loss teams!

GO WILDCATS!!!

Here’s a thought for the day!

Hmm. well first off, Kama, you have done such an amazing job being good to yourself and treating yourself to healthy eating and lots of good exercise! like you say, that you will always need to keep up on. you may really be at your Best weigth, too! but i know you want those last few pounds down. i know i always try and give you some idea and i really have no new ones except this popped into my head: high intensity cardio only all week - give the muscles a break maybe. the other thought that just popped was to do no exercise all week. last thought is the cheat day - on Biggest Loser they do that. I was doing that, too, On Saturday, i’d be more free to eat what I wanted. dunno! i never made it that far :)

Ohhh, Kama, I am in the same boat. I gained 1 lb. and it’s bugging me…not as much as it would in the past, but it is. I understand. Have you thought about coming over to the beach with us? I remember Angela was stuck in a plateau and Shanna encouraged her to try South Beach and she lost 17 lbs. in the first two weeks…so it may work for you, why not give it a try, eh?

You look great and I understand about the number on the scale. But it is just a number, one that unfortunately we focus on and put a lot of importance to (too much)….keep your chin up - you can do it!

I think that you can reach any goal that you want to. Well you know what I mean… people can’t be walking around weight 85 lbs. But I say go for it and see. Then if you want to change it, do it.

I say start taking measurements at this point if you’re feeling like you need the motivation… the weight will come later. Youll probably see more change in the measuremetns than your weight cause now you’re leaning out.

Oh and give your body a shock, i read ‘high intensity’ somewhere up the page. Push yourself like youve never pushed yourself before, youd be amazed at what the body is capable of. Have a nice cheat meal. It boosts your metabolism - but jsut get RIGTH BACK on thaT HEALTHY EATING. Hope some of this helps.
