Happy Monday!!!

Hey, the wildcats are on for another week!!! I’m feeling great, off to a good start, did my workout already and am off and running! Even got a new haircut, too. I did it myself, and everyone is telling me I look like a new woman!! I hope all of you have a great day!!!

Shopping tips, for one or 2 people

rn

1. Start with recipes designed for one or two people.
To get the benefits of home cooking without any waste, plan your meals with the right recipes; there are plenty designed for one or two. Or begin by cutting a recipe down to size, halving it to fit your lifestyle.

rn

2. Shop the salad bar.
Small-batch cooking calls for smaller amounts?one celery rib or half a green pepper. To avoid waste, look for these items at your market’s fresh salad bar. If you only need 1/4 cup of chickpeas, there’s no need to buy the whole can.

rn

3. Check expiration dates.
Supermarkets want to sell their oldest products first, so they put them at the front of the shelves. And these are the very products that will go bad before one person can finish them. Check the back of the case for milk, juice, cottage cheese and even eggs with later expiration dates.

rn

4. Avoid bulk purchases.
Yes, small packages of cheese, condiments and meat may cost a bit more per ounce, but you’ll probably save in the long run. Throwing out half a jar of mayonnaise because it went bad is no savings in the end.

rn

5. Freezer bags can save you money.
Wrap meat and fish fillets individually in plastic wrap and store them in the freezer in high-quality freezer bags. Portion out jarred pasta sauce in freezer bags for quick meals later on. But even in the freezer, remember that food has a shelf life. Don’t keep raw fish or meat more than three months or prepared food more than six months.

rn

6. Avoid convenience foods.
Most are designed for a crowd. A frozen pizza can feed six; a big jar of pasta sauce, eight. Instead, look for meats in the butcher case and pre-washed greens in the produce section in small bags. And if your store sells rotisserie chickens, they’re likely to sell you a half or quarter if you ask.

rn

7. Talk to the butcher or fishmonger.
First off, shop at a market with these people on staff. Then, ask to have single chicken breasts, steaks or fish fillets wrapped up for you. A market with a proper meat and fish counter is designed to sell in the portions you need.

rn

8. Don’t forget farmers’ markets.
You’re likely to find more flavorful fruits and vegetables here than at your local supermarket. Look for farm-fresh eggs, meat and breads. Most items are not packaged for bulk sales.

rn

9. Shop with friends.
Shopping can be boring?not just in the aisles, but in the car getting there. So keep a friend company in traffic and catch up on your week in the produce section.

Wooo Hooo, Wildcats!!!

Wild cats won, yay!!!I’m so porud of my team!!! I also want to say, good job to the Jags, I know alot of hard work was going on this week, and now we have another new week!!! Loves ya all!!

Sunday

First I want to say thanks for all the supportive comments re my BF’s grandmother! It means so much. Yes, it is hard, but we are getting thru it. Ted is flying to Connecticut on Wednesday morning and will there for a week. I will miss him so much, but he has to do this, and his family paid for his ticket, which I thought was great, since we didn’t have the money. So, expect to see me here alot more while he is gone! I was so happy to fin I hdad finally broken my plateau!! I increased my workout, and cut my calories back to 1500 a day. Thanks to Wonder Woman and Tasha for their great advice! Well, I hope you all have a great day!!! Off to read blogs!

Broke my plateau!!!

Yay!! I’m down 2 more pounds!!! Sorry to be missing in asction today, but we had some bad news: my bf’s paternal grandmother passed away, and he has been online getting the info to fly to the funeral, plus having to talk to relatives, and I just wanted to be there for him He is taking it so hard. But on the good side, I completed a 45 minute workout(intense level), and I’m wearing more clothes that I haven’t been able to in a while!!! I also, have decreased me daily calories by 100, and stayed within that, too!! Well gonna read some blogs before bed, I will be back tomorrow!!!

Happy Friday!!!

Morning all! Well, I am sore today, but feeling great!! I did my team challenge last nite, including doing the 15 min cardio in the pool! Wow, what a difference the water makes! I was exhausted after, and my legs and arms really feel it today. Now that it is warm enough, I’m going to include that more often!!! I also got up this morning and did my workout and calisthenics too!! I really feel on top of it today, I’m hoping to break my plateau this weekend! Well, hope you all have a great and healthy day!!!

Just something to make you all laugh!!

I got sent this and it is a good one!

MY FIRST TIME….

rn

rn

rn

It was my first time ever

rn

And I’ll never forget

rn

I’d do it again

rn

Without a single regret.

rn

The sky was dark

rn

The moon was high

rn

We were all alone

rn

Just she and I.

rn

Her hair was soft

rn

Her eyes were blue

rn

I knew just what

rn

She wanted to do.

rn

Her skin so soft

rn

Her legs so fine

rn

I ran my fingers

rn

Down her spine.

rn

I didn’t know how

rn

But I tried my best

rn

I started by placing

rn

My hands on her breast.

rn

I remember my fear

rn

My fast beating heart

rn

But slowly she spread

rn

Her legs apart.

rn

And when I did it

rn

I felt no shame

rn

All at once

rn

The white stuff came.

rn

At last it’s finished

rn

It’s all over now

rn

My first time ever

rn

At milking a cow…

Hmmm

Happy Thursday everyone! The weather is gorgeous here today, I have been taking advantage of it by doing a daily walk at lunch. Won’t be able to do that much longer, as the temp continues to rise So have to enjoy it now. I feel great today, though, got lots of sleep last nite, was in bed at 7:51!!! I can’t believe it, NEVER go to bed that early!!! Seems they changed things around here, I noticed my food tracker was empty for yesterday, and I KNOW I filled it out, because I printed it But oh well. Now I have to learn my way around the new forum! I hope you all have a wonderful day!!!

truckin’ Tuesday!!!

Hiya buddies!!! Doing great this morning!!! Did my workout already and planned my meals for the day!! Was weird, my knee was really bothering me when I got up, but I made myself do my workout anyways(just kept it low impact), and guess what?? My knee quit hurting!!!!So, that won’t keep me down anymore!!!! Yay!!! Going to do at least 2 of my teams challenges today, too!!! I really want to get to the 170’s this week!!! I hope you all have a great healthy day, too!!!  Love you all!!!

Good morning!!!

Happy Monday everyone!!! Well got my “trotting harness” on as my mom used to say and I’m raring to go. Gonna do some race walking at lunch and some floor excercises tonite when I get home. Gonna kick this weight in the butt this week! Kinda took yesterday off. My bf made a huge breakfast yesterday, and then I went to the grocery store and then to a friend’s house for a cookout! The good thing was that I snaacked on fresh fruit at my friends house, and got all my water in! I sure can’t eat as much as I used to, thank God, here I was already full and they were trying to push more food on me! I was like no way!! But we had fun anyways, and everyone said I look great!!! So on to another good week! You all have a great one!
